The DRX9000 provides pain relief for degenerative and compressive injuries of the spine. Through the application of spinal decompressive forces to spinal injuries, the DRX9000 provides patients relief from neck pain and/or lower back pain.
The DRX9000 applies non-surgical spinal decompression by using a sensitive computerized feedback mechanism. It has a split-table design to reduce friction between the patient and the device. The patient lies on their back with a knee rest under their legs to help provide back support, comfort and help eliminate pelvic rotation.
The DRX9000 has built-in air bladders, harnesses, and disc-angle pull adjustments. This technology uses a motor pulley to deliver mechanized segmental distraction that can be delivered in a oscillatory or static fashion. In other words, decompression cycles alternate with relaxation cycles over the course of the session. The spinal level of disc injury determines the best pullangle settings.
It is estimated that 80% of people will suffer from lower back pain (LBP) during their lifetime. In fact, low back pain is the #1 factor that limits physical activity in patients under the age of 45. Lower back pain is also one of the top reasons why patients go to the doctor, and the 3rd most common condition for surgical procedures. A patient’s quality of life can be severely impacted by lower back pain making it difficult to do every day activities such as drive, work, sleep and even participate in family life. The DRX9000 is a great option for LBP patients.
