The Nervous System
Spinal nerves are sensitive to stress and pressure. When your spine becomes misaligned, it stresses the nerves affecting normal nerve impulses. This extra stress on the nervous system affects how your body functions. Although we associate nerves primarily with sensation and pain, they are responsible for other important functions. The nervous system coordinates:
1. All body functions, including those you don’t consciously think about such as heart rate, digestion and breathing.
2. Your ability to move your muscles.
3. Your ability to sense and feel.
4. How you relate to the world around you.
Our doctors look for postural distortions, pelvic imbalances and leg length differences. These are signs of spinal misalignment. Injury, damage or trauma can misalign your spine, causing nerve interference in your body. When this happens, a host of problems can arise within days or even years.
